About the Author
Jim Jensen began his career as a salesman with Encyclopaedia Brittanica in his senior year of college. Within seven years he had become International Sales Manager in charge of worldwide sales. At the age of 28, he became Senior Vice President and CEO of Great Books of the Western World, a division of Encyclopaedia Brittanica. In this same year Jim and his wife, Jeri, attended a 4 day seminar that would have an incredible impact on his life forever. As is written in the Introduction, Jim became both a voracious student and, ultimately, teacher of many of the principles written in his book, 7 KEYS To Unlock Your Full Potential. Jim also became President and CEO of two additional companies that each became the leading company within their respective industry. Jim attributes much of the success of those companies to the management and employees embracing many of the principles taught in his book. Today, Jim provides executive coaching, consulting, and advisory services to emerging growth and mid-size companies. He is an active member of the World Presidents' Organization, and serves on the board of directors of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, Aspen University, and is Vice Chairman of American Global Health Group. This book takes some age old concepts and clearly shows you how to apply them to your life. I feel strongly enough about this book to have purchased additional copies for my (grown) children. The way I judge if a book is worth reading is to look for just one strong take-away....you can not finish this book and not find a dozen ways to apply the "keys" to your life. I highly recommend this book.

I purchased this book on the recommendation of a friend. I half expected it to be a lot of the same self-help/New Age concepts as in other books I've read in this genre, with maybe a slightly different twist to make the material appear "new". Was I in for a pleasant surprise. Mr. Jensen has taken the teachings of Dr. Joseph Murphy and added scientific evidence of the authenticity of his precepts along with Jensen's own personal anecdotes to prove that if you put into practice the tools offered in this book, you can't help but create a more abundant, fulfilling, and joyful life for yourself. I've never read a book that so clearly gives the reader a road map to accomplish this. I especially enjoyed the insightful chapters on the human conditions of fear, self talk, and habit patterns that derail so many of us. I keep this book handy as my "manual for living," and I think you'll find yourself doing the same.

After a sleepless night full of guilty dreams, the protagonist hurries to Madison Square Garden determined to return the magic stick. The hockey pro is so touched by his young fan's generosity that he requests her autograph. A satisfying ending shows the famous stick displayed at the Hockey Hall of Fame. This story is told in humorous rhyme and is accompanied by delightful cartoon illustrations. Even children who have no knowledge of hockey will be entertained by this book and impressed by its message. Maloney and Zekauskas have scored a winning goal with this one.

A child's book that has it all, for my kids and for me!

This book is so enjoyable it really makes me look forward to storytime. The story, based in truth, is one adults can identify with and kids find amusing. The rhyme scheme reminds me of Dr. Suess and the illustrations are first rate. The little girl in the story learns how to help others, in this case the Great Wayne Gretzky, at the expense of her own good fortune. It shows an intact loving family (a rarity in today's culture), shows that little girls can be the star of a story, and can play hockey. If you like hockey, love kids, or remember reading Dr. Suess as a kid, you'll love this book.

This is a great children's book that will also entertain any adult. The book follows a girl and how Wayne Gretzky's hockey stick helps her become the great player on her hockey team. She make a choice to return the stick to Wayne Gretzky to pull him out of his slump. This a great lesson for kids

A real treat for kids and adults

My 2 and 4 year old like hockey and they love this book. We picked it up at the library and were very pleasantly surprised to find such a refreshingly modern book. It is about a family that accidently end up buying Wayne Gretzky's hockey stick at an auction. The daughter plays hockey and the stick helps her to play better. But in the mean time, Wayne Gretzky goes into a slump without it. The girl decides she must return the stick to him. I cannot do the book justice though. It is a rhyming verse book that is so easy to read and there is alot of humor in it, yet it has a nice lesson. My kids have tons of books but they love this one and it is one that I do not get sick of reading. Thank you to the author's for something new and refreshing.

Sweet, sweet book!

As an elementary teacher, I'm surprised this book is not more popular today. I remember it from my childhood as being my very favorite picture book, partly because we had a dog like Fletcher. Fletcher demonstrates an intense devotion and insecurity about his mistress's love for him. He's jealous of the chickens she raises. To solve this problem, he gets his friends to build a gigantic egg around him, hoping to get her attention by resembling the eggs/chickens she dotes upon. It's a creative way to solve his problem. I plan to use the book in my classroom to illustrate point of view, problem solving, cooperation and character's feelings. (Plus I just like any story that's about a dog!)

I lend out my Kindle to the girls on the team so they can have an easy read that is concise and spot on for training tips of important tactical and technical soccer. On top of that how do you beat the $2.99 price (sometimes free) from a player of Mirsad's background...thank you and how about a book on playing the ball to space because coaching Girls under 12 they do not see the field as well as they should...
